Library Resources

The Mercer County Public Library is located at 109 West Lexington Street in Harrodsburg. ( U S 68 is Lexington Street within the city limits) 734-3680. HOURS: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.' Friday & Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Sunday, 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Services:  Public access internet stations, searchable online catalog, meeting rooms, copier, fax, laminating, bookmobile, interlibrary loans, computer workstations ( with Word, Access, Powerpoint, Publisher, Internet Explorer, Bookshelf, and interactive encyclopedias and educational children's games).  Children's programs, DVD / Video / Music CD collections, books on audio tape, large print book collection, genealogy collection and reading area with 85+ magazines and 6 newspapers.
 

The Harrodsburg Historical Society Library is located at 220 South Chiles Street in Harrodsburg. ( behind the courthouse on Morgan Row ) 734-5985 This library is a repository of research material on Mercer County from 1774 with extensive genealogy records.  HOURS: Tuesday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Wednesday through Saturday, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
